A well-planned bathroom renovation adds comfort and value. Here is how we approach every bathroom project.
Step 1: Layout
Decide whether to keep fixtures where they are or move them. Keeping the toilet near the existing soil stack saves cost.
Step 2: Strip-out and first fix
Old fittings are removed, then new pipework and electrics are run before walls are boarded.
Step 3: Waterproofing and tiling
Wet areas are tanked before tiling, which is essential for showers and wet rooms.
Step 4: Second fix and finishing
Sanitaryware, taps, lighting and extractor are fitted, followed by neat, mould-resistant silicone sealing.
- Choose slip-resistant floor tiles
- Plan storage early
- Include a good extractor fan
